David was
ordained in the Church of England in 1988 and ministered there until
coming to St. Matthew's in 2004. His aspiration is summarized by
Colossians 1:28: "We proclaim Christ, admonishing and teaching everyone
with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ."
As Rector
he
is responsible for the Bible teaching and pastoral ministry at St. Matthew's. He
and his wife, Rachel, live in Parkrose and have four young children. 
Melinda is a
lifelong Episcopalian. When she and husband Paul first attended St.
Matthew's in 2002, they
knew they had found
a church home. As the parish has changed and grown, it
has become not only home but family as well. Melinda retired from
a career in music teaching, choral conducting, and music editing and now assists
Paul in his life insurance business. The Senior Warden is appointed
by the
Rector and is, in many ways, his chief helper in his relationship
to the parish as a whole. This includes providing a
flow of information and ideas between the leadership of the
parish and the membership in general. The Senior Warden's specific duties,
with the Rector's blessing, are to conduct the monthly vestry meetings
and the annual church meeting. 
Victor, his wife, Kristie, and daughter, Natalia, moved to Camas in
2003. Looking for a family-oriented community church with great fellowship,
they found
St.
Matthew's. They were surprised to discover that Kristie attended the
same church as Father David in Connecticut! Since then, Natalia
has made many wonderful new friends and so have Victor and Kristie. Victor is a salesman for bicycling gear. The Junior Warden's
primary responsibility is to oversee the
maintenance of the church buildings and grounds. Duties also include assisting the
Rector and Senior Warden in providing leadership in the
Vestry. 
Tim is currently on the music faculty
at Marylhurst University. Tim has had many years of experience as an organist
and choir director. He studied at Valparaiso University and the
University of Illinois. His wife, Nancy, is an accomplished organist in her
own right and is currently playing for another church. Tim and Nancy
have two grown children. 
Erin and her husband, Tim, found St. Matthew's while looking for a family-friendly neighborhood church. Erin has a background in secondary education, as well as many ministry experiences. When not working at the church, Erin likes to spend time with Tim and their daughter, Rebecca, playing soccer, and completing projects for the Christmas Bazaar. The Parish Secretary is the primary greeter people encounter when they visit or call the office. As principal administrator, the secretary oversees and efficiently runs the office to enhance the pastoral ministry of the church. Erin's hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
