Welcome!
Welcome to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church! We extend a warm welcome to you, whether you already know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and are looking for a church home, or you are just curious to find out more about Jesus, the Bible and the Christian faith.
St. Matthew's is an orthodox Anglican church with a love for Christ and an emphasis on expository Bible teaching, discipleship, evangelism, mission, fellowship and prayer.

We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of our church building by reading the Gospel according to Matthew.
"Matthew's story of Jesus is a masterpiece. The drama of the gospel of the kingdom, as it is seen in the alternating accounts of the deeds and the words of Jesus, is exceptionally powerful. From the wonder of the infancy narrative to the glory of the resurrected Christ commissioning his disciples, the sweep of Matthew's salvation-historical perspective is breathtaking.
"Matthew's formula Old Testament quotations, with their stress on promise and fulfillment, show the magnificent unity of God's purposes and the continuing importance of Israel's Scriptures to the Church. Matthew's distinctive compilations of the teaching of Jesus in the five discourses have understandably been treasured by Christians down through the ages. If Matthew was the most quoted Gospel in the early Church, it may well be true that it is the most quoted today." (Donald A. Hagner)
Please join us on Sunday mornings as we learn from this great book!

We are:
All sinners:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)
Forgiven:
"...and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24)
Christ-centered:
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
Spirit-filled:
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:25)
Bible-based:
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16)
A family:
Jesus said "'By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)
Prayerful:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Reaching Out:
Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19)
