School for Ministry - Trinity, the largest Anglican seminary in the United States, is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. "We are seeking to raise up and train dependably orthodox parish clergy and lay workers for the day-to-day hard work of building up parishes across America, and across the global village all around us."
Trout Creek Bible Camp - Many of our young people attend Trout Creek Bible Camp in the summer. This independent and inter-denominational Christian camp is located 28 miles east of Portland, and is situated on 184 acres of beautifully wooded land. They offer programs for campers in Grades 2 through 12, as well as a mid-summer Family Conference. Their desire is to provide children with a safe camping experience that is fun and exciting, and one that increases their awareness and knowledge of God.
Community Outreach
Snow-Cap Community Charities - Suburban Neighborhoods Operation Witness Community Action Program serves the needs of those in East Multnomah County through cooperative work with churches, community leaders and individuals. Residents in the area can get help with diapers, baby formula, winter utility bills, food, clothing, showers and other basic needs. To donate non-perishable food items at St. Matthews, place them in the wooden box behind the last pew - or bring them to the front of the church on the fourth Sunday of each month.
William Temple House - "For more than 40 years William Temple House has served Portland's working poor families and individuals and today offers people in need a hand up by providing mental health counseling, emergency social services, and pastoral care."
