True Stories from Bible Picture

Welcome to St. Matthew's Church!

We extend a warm welcome to you, whether you already know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and are looking for a church home - or if you would like to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures and the Christian faith.

St. Matthew's is an orthodox Anglican church with a love for Christ and an emphasis on expository Bible teaching, discipleship, evangelism, mission, fellowship and prayer.

We are now studying the book of 1 Corinthians.

"Quite apart from its rich theology of grace, the cross, the Holy Spirit, the ministry, love, and the resurrection... 1 Corinthians stands in a distinctive position of relevance to our own times."

Anthony C. Thiselton, The First Epistle to the Corinthians

Please join us on Sunday mornings as we learn from this important New Testament book together!

We are:

All sinners:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)

Forgiven:
"...and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24)

Christ-centered:
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Spirit-filled:
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:25)

Bible-based:
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16)

A family:
Jesus said "'By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)

Prayerful:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Reaching Out:
Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19)

Christ is made the sure foundation,

Christ the head and cornerstone,

chosen of the Lord, and precious,

binding all the Church in one;

holy Zion's help for ever,

and her confidence alone.
